That is cirrus clouds, which means ice chrystals, not droplets. So it is most likely some sort of halo phenomena, not a rainbow. But I understand you meant just that it had a color spectra showing. Best view of halos you get from Cirrus stratus clouds (large homogeneous cloud covers). With just small bits of cirrus it is hard to see what type of halo phenomena it is.
