I was unsure where to post this piece of bark found while we were out on our daily walk. Woodpecker holes, reasonably close to being arranged in vertical rows, uniform spacing down each row, and uniform size of holes. There were obviously additional vertical rows on the tree, and one of long rows on this piece looks sort of like an open zipper.

Could be, although the label said simply "sulfur" whereas other mineral specimens on display were given correct mineral names, not the name of a metal or other material that might be separated from a compound.
