Repetition. These flowers always come up in our yard, but exactly where isn't always predictable. Sometimes the same area year after year, then suddenly they'll fizzle out in that area but come up somewhere else.

Remnant of what was once a much larger pond created by a small dam (floodgate now left @ lowest level), the water surface covered by fluffy white seeds from adjacent trees (don't know what kind of tree).

A variation on ferns with a few water drops, more orderly than an image of the same subject I posted earlier.
