Two great patterns. The ceiling light is mesmerizing.
Thanks. I thought so too on the ceiling light, and I had lots of time to stare at it while bored on night shift and waiting for something to need fixing.

Haha, I remember those commercials from when I was a kid. Not too far off, I'm an instrument mechanic at a pulp mill. When in night shift we have to carry a radio and be available to quickly get to any issues that come up. They don't give us other work to do though, so it's mostly just sitting around. They call it government work when we bring in our own projects to work on, and it's somewhat encouraged by our supervisors. One of my predecessors got his master's in either psychology or psychiatry, and set up a fairly succesful practice while on shift so he had something to do once he retired.

@noelcmn, I've enjoyed seeing your more abstract and intimate "landscape" stuff. I really like how such things make the world more available to the eye by showing details that people wouldn't ordinarily notice. It's like seeing things that other people who are so rushed by their ordinary lives, and making the vision available to those to whom it would otherwise be lost.

Noelcmn's posted some really interesting flower details that I think are proteas, so I'll try my luck with one.

And here as an afterthought is a readily identified but not so beautiful pattern.
