These ripple marks are very similar to the sand waves posted by noelcmn, except these are several hundred million years old.

this photo of a cougar at the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield Mo. shows the faint repetitive design of the chain link enclosure as well as the texture of the bark on the log and rock face

I find it interesting that parts of the cougar's body makes the chain link disappear while at the same time, other parts of the body do not.
