[ the pond water was dark, so with the white and black of the swans, I went with a b/w presentation, the only color in the photo is the color of the floating fountain ]

Fisheye lenses only make these shapes more interesting, IMO

EDIT: Someone suggested shooting from a 45 degree angle, so here's a shot:

what do you see - a jumble of dead wood?

I see potential:

raw material

shelter

enrichment and entertainment

food

foot path covering

anti erosion material

bedding

I see potential - what do you see when you look at sticks and logs or any material - think how it could be recycled and put to use again

Okay, these are probably crape myrtle trunks recycled to form a fence...

The little patterns of the water caught my eye, i was very happy to have quick dry pants on as I had to sit in about an inch of water to compose this. It was one of my favorite shots of the day so it was worth it.

I was able to return to a previous location with a step ladder, so I could get higher and get the complete circles. I do wish I'd shot another one obliquely so the tiles would be squares and not diamonds.

This image doesn't quite belong, as there really isn't a pattern, but I though the the similarity to robgski's image was interesting. It's a tower at the Grand Canyon. Scan from a chrome.

" etc " in the thread title gives a " little " leeway in deciding what to post

IMHO, YMMV

Here's a bit of "texture, pattern, repetition, shape" (maybe even a bit of etc.?) all in one - A tray for nursery seedlings.
