Photographic images can be real, or manipulated to what might have been or what we thought we saw or how we wanted it to be, or the can be totally "creative." So long as the image works in some way.
I guess this can qualify as a pattern. It was displayed as a work of ART(!). Possibly a set of kid's impressions of one tree, or several trees, or parts of a tree. There was no explanation that I saw.
