Thanks Tony, for this comment and another recently on a different thread. We had a wonderful visit to New Zealand. I really like the way the Maori use the nacreous (interior) layer of a seashell to make glaring eyes on their elaborate carvings.

The local botanical gardens installed this butterfly sculpture recently. The place is known as a waypoint during the Monarch migration in the Fall.
