Grass seeds all in rows. I'm posting several different versions this seed head. This one is a multi-file stack taken with a 50mm f2.8 APO Componon reverse mounted on a Pentax bellows. No cropping.

leaf litter, partridge berry, pine needles, bits of hemlock, etc. I posted a different image taken in this area on the abstracts thread. I think this one has more recognizable elements and is more of a texture or pattern image.

I think I'll try passing this image as a texture, although it's on the edge of being an abstract. Pebbles and cobbles in a shallow stream. There's a little waterfall off the the right, stirring up the water enough to produce ripples that refract the sunlight causing a sort of scaly reptile skin pattern of bright lines overlaid on on some patches of the different colors and shades of stones.

This moss typically grows as a hemispherical mass. Never looked at it really closely until I experimented with this crop.
