Two pictures of First Persons markings or art or graffiti or what ever is appropriate to call them. The people living in the area when Europeans came were primarily Modoc, but either they did not know what these meant, or no one thought to ask them, so their significance can only be guessed. They are spread across a long stretch of this cliff face, higher than you can easily reach, but it's thought that at the time they were made there was a shallow lake in front of the cliff so these were made by someone standing or perhaps sitting in a boat, canoe or most likely a dugout.
