I'm not sure how to respond to this. There is a mythology that the Civil War was about "states rights," yet the document that is basically the Confederacy's declaration of independence, the document commonly called 'The Cornerstone Speech," is quite explicit about what the Confederacy stood for, and "states rights" is essentially unmentioned

There was no label on this roundish fellow, but he's holding a pick, so perhaps one of Snow White's little men.

Spotted this on the way to a talk this evening and took the photo for my "Single in December" challenge. Light was failing so had to shoot at ISO2200... A bit higher than I like to go. (To think I spent the first 20 years shooting at 64ASA and used to think FP4 at 125 was a luxury...) Pentax K-3, SMC Pentax "K" 18mm f/3.5.
