This is THE first Fall shot I ever did. It was taken with a Century Graphic (graphlex press camera) On Kodak Portra VC 160. The photo shown is a scan of one of the few color prints I managed to make in my darkroom. I also processed the film. No, it wasn't fun. The scan was done with a crappy flatbed scanner years ago and has been 'fixed' a few times as I've gone through the versions of photoshop.

Here are a couple from my First digital camera, a Fuji DS300.

Something a little more modern..

Some from a more modern camera, my K20d last year.

This is the one and only photo I managed to get with an FA100 f2.8 I bought and had to return because it arrived damaged (I still don't think I should have eaten the return shipping on it).

One from my DA*16-50 a year earlier...

I went back to the same spot today to shoot some samples from a lens I am going to sell. K20D with Sigma 24-60mm f/2.8. Sorry about the duplicates thought it is interesting to compare these sets.

That Sigma lens does look quite different colorwise. Matter of taste. I like the first pic of the kitlens best, but hey, maybe the lenses can only be as good as the shooter's willingness to give them the love they need .-)

Not bad at all Jeff, in those conditions, I usually go for the "intentional motion blur" shots

Nice shot Jeff... I found something similar at Great Falls National Park (VA Side) yesterday in the pouring rain (TGF weather sealing!)

I have hundreds of Artsy type intentional blur photos. Yes, that's it, that's the ticket! Thanks.

Thanks. I've never thoroughly tested it but ain't it the truth..

I recently learned a new (to me) trick to combat the motion caused by the wind. Just let the focus trap handle it. Prefocus and let the wind blow the plant life into focus rather than try and chase it around. Which is why the green leaves are more in focus, and I thought (combined with my type of processing) it made a neat contrast of color shot.
