More unusual fall colours
Milkweeds busting open to let the seeds spread in the wind:

Osage Oranges on the tree, also called hedge apples. The fruits are prized for keeping spiders away, Though not often seen, the heavy dense wood of the tree is beautiful orange color:

Beautiful photos everyone and I have got to ask
Tamia: Do you use polarizers on those through-the-water shots ? In any case they look fantastico.
About your last rain shot, has this been done with a flash ?

I have some non-pentax P&S shots way upthread, but here's one I took this week on the sidewalk in front of my office. I even brought the leaf home, it was such a cool look and had such pretty colors... K100D with DA 12-24.

I may get some heat for this but....

Georg, you've just shown again that German women don't shave their armpits.

I felt I could say that since I'm halb-Deutsch and lived there for 3 years. Wonderful country.

John: Bring on the heat .-) I might add that probably elder women would conform to your description (like the one pictured) but not-so-elderly wouldn't but instead are avid followers of the tramp stamp. Another good reason to follow the path of jgredline and the bluesman in order to supply evidence to what I've said.

Voytech, are those in the first aspen leaves? I have never seen red aspen leaves before like that. Beautiful.

This one is x-posted with this week's P52 contest on complimentary colors. It's a shot of tamarack "leaves" in the setting sun.
