Here's a few from last Sunday at the NY Botanical Gardens

Crabapples

Black birch leaf

The Bronx River

And again

Not sure of this one, anybody know what it is?

I sure had fun shooting the floating leaves, but I need a LOT of practice, especially with my manual focus 70-210 F4.0

Thanks Salty... got lucky with the kit lens back a few years ago when I was a digital pup... a version of that one took a ribbon this summer at a local Aggie fair...

I like your series very much. The textures in Bronx River are great. I am guessing that Bronx River or at least one other of that series is shot with a TC and the 70-200... which I miss very much.

I can well believe that it got a prize! It's a beautiful capture. Actually the BR pics were taken with the trusty old Pentax A 70-210 and without a TC. I was being lazy and traveling lite. However this Sunday I'm taking the big Tammy and my big tripod out to the same spot if it's not raining. It's a schlepp but worth it.

It's getting hazy and damp with the sun coming through some days.

I think we peaked today...

Shot Saturday with a K20D / DA 15mm f/4. These are preliminary. In going back over the raw, I see there is some room for improvement here.

Thank you very much... I'm glad I took the time yesterday... it's overcast today. Looks like it will be for the rest of the week.
