12 Days of Christmas

Following on the success of Single in September (they even made a book from our adventure ) - and now Single in November - I am proposing another photo challenge for the Forum....if others are keen.

12 Days of Christmas.

The rules are simple a photo a day starting the 14th December with whatever lenses you have in your arsenal with each shot capturing a little of the environment that makes up Christmas from your side of the world. As an Aussie you can look forward to some blazing hot shots with a few prawns thrown on the barbie...and I'd love to experience what a White Christmas looks like from our Northerly friends. Of course, you don't need t be a practising Christian to join - otherwise I'd be out myself - but just keen to share a perspective and share the experience from your corner of the globe.

So just gauging the interest for now. If there's enough, then I'd propose getting the admin in order by late November/early December in readiness.

Looking forward to seeing what y'all think.

Stills

Listen here fella...when you say "whatever lenses you have in your arsenal..", are you sayin' NOT JUST A SINGLE LENS (please say yes..please say yes..please say yes).

If so I'm definitely throwin' me hat in the ring again, if not, I'm defintely throwin' me hat in the ring again! Somethin' wrong with me I reckon! Cuminspinner!

Cheers Paddy

I'll toss my lid in here for this one as well. I'm sure I can toss a few white Christmas shots into the mix ...maybe even a few White Rockies ones as well if I make it to Banff.

Great to have you on-board Lisa. Can't wait to see your photos, can you promise us a black bear wearing a jolly red hat with white pom-pom?.....now that will challenge your dynamic range

I'm new to the site, and I would love to take part in this one: Right now we have a lot of snow in Denmark, so I hope there will be a bit left on the 14th.

HOWEVER: I am also a die-hard Christmas traditionalist . So I have to point out that the twelve days of Christmas begin on Christmas day and end on the day of the three kings (whatever you call that in English). So December 14th is really long before Christmas - but since Christmas is more _marketable_ ahead of the "big day", the tinsel-industry has sort of eroded the actual celebration. And who has time to celebrate for twelve days anyway these days? Lets just get it all stowed away again once the wrapping paper has been ripped off?

Sorry, I shouldn't rant in other people's nice threads. And I would like to play, even if you do put the game _before_ rather than _during_ Christmas...

I just know that my own favorite part begins once the unwrapping and gift-stress is behind us, and there is only twelve days of spiced wine, candles, Christmas pastry and relaxation ahead...
