Foggy morning in Berlin... got up early specially for this, and had a lot of fun shooting in my city being all foggy.
If you don't know Berlin and wonder what that thing is... it's a tourist landmark left over from the socialist days of East Berlin, the so called "World Time Clock". I find it spectacularily ugly :-) The socialists had a talent for that kind of thing :-)

For the technically interested:
Shot with a K10D and a 77mm at f2, on a tripod.
About 30 shots stitched together - that's why it's a wide angle picture although it was shot with a tele

I just love the fog and the scenes posted, can't view many because i'm on a bad Wifi conn. but will later.

How about Carl Sandburg's poem to round things out:
Fog
The fog creeps in on little cat feet,
It sits on silent haunches,
Looking at harbor and city,
Then moves on.

Huh, I thought I had posted these, but it musta been in another thread (bridges maybe...).

A foggy day at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, taken on my way to work one day:

1. Heading towards the bridge

2. The approach to the bridge - normally it's very visible from here...

Jools: I seem to remember those from your Single in September album. I had forgotten all about this thread too. Here's mine from a foggy September morning, all shot with K20D and SMC Pentax 1:1.8/55

One weekend morning I got up early (couldn't sleep), looked outside and instead of thinking what most people think 'Oh no, fog.', I thought like most photographers would probably think, 'Oh neat, fog!!'.

I therefore went for an early morning walk, snapping away at interesting things.

Well, looks like you guys beat me to it. I went out a few days ago looking for fog shots to revive this thread, unfortunately it was a really thin fog, I didn't get a thing. Not even a decent lake scene...

Some way cool shots showing up, I think the train should be on the wall too, and a couple of others here. I'm pretty sure I'll get some more before long, it's that time of year...

Keep 'em coming, I can't wait to see what shows up.

Oh I just checked, this thread is officially a year old now.
