The street lights look really dramatic in those.

Awesome. Reminds me of one I took on Saturday night:

Another I like, taken in Early January.

Wow...Excellent shots showing up here, I didn't know if anyone would even be interested.

Oh yeah, old shots are welcome, you don't have to post the most recent ones you have or go out and shoot specifically for this, although that would be nice too. I plan to...I shoot foggy mornings any time I can.

I can't remember who all posted, all are nice, a few are just awesome. As usual some ideas I would probably not have thought of, but I guess that's why we're all not the same huh.

A couple more from the same morning...a cormorant taking flight off the water -

A group of cormorants flying pretty close, the more distant ones fading into the fog.

And my personal favorite, an old barn backlit on a really foggy morning. I've posted this one before, I think in POTW for that week. It's appropriate here so I'll repost it.

I submitted that one for the exclusive gallery, it was denied, they said it was too bright and the barn and trees needed to be more distinct...OK so how do you get distinct in a thick fog????? Hehe...Oh well, better luck next time...it's still a very nice shot, I think. I got just what I wanted, the misty look and the sun lighting up the thinner fog in front.

By the way Pete, Number 1 in your original stunning series is just absolutely gorgeous. If that was mine, that bird would be flying... on my wall.

Thanks woof, it's already been dropped into the print folder. Along with a couple other shots from that day...

Really nice shots showing up, great stuff. Thanks for posting and keep 'em coming.

There are some really great photos in this thread, but this one with the sun behind the trees is a knock-out.

These are some great pictures. I took this picture last month.

It's pretty much the only picture lately that I didn't take with my K-x. I mounted my compact camera on the corner of my roof with a gorillapod, something I could not do with my K-x. In the time lapse
of this shot, it's fun to watch the fog move back and forth across the water. Unfortunately the battery died a lot sooner than I thought.
