Hunters should find advantage in camouflage, right?

Jewels of the prairie - Dragonflies.
Male Eastern Amberwing.

A Meadowhawk. I can't tell the species apart. This male looks like that female, except when freshly hatched....and there are a lot of meadowhawks.

Underside and upper side of a moth that landed on a sunroom window while I was having lunch. The underside reveals how long it's been since I cleaned the windows. It's like cleaning the clapboards, especially if I do both inside and outside surfaces.

Many beetles are highly reflective, some almost mirror-like, so they may indeed reflect nearby colors.

Twelve-spotted Skimmer. I posted a shot of this same species from the same beaver meadow this time last year. It certainly has a luminous look to it in good light.
