Three insects from this morning. The little butterfly is a very deep crop. I was glad the mosquito sat long enough for me to get decent image.

Zinnia with butterflies that a someone here will recognize by name. As only the near edge of the petals are in sharp focus, both butterflies are on the verge of sliding back into the bokeh zone. The rear butterfly hopped on just as I was pressing the shutter button.

Had some good luck during an hour out bug hunting this morning. Quite a few lady-bug beetles. The one in the second image has something (fungus?) growing on its elytra that will probably kill it eventually. The fly in the last image was really too small for the rig I was using so it required an excessively deep crop. It's less than 2mm long.
