Found some frog-legged beetles, the last of them were the couple that got.. intimate.

Mosquito on the underside of a leaf. A deep crop as it was quick to take flight - I got too close where it was perched at first, but was lucky that it landed again nearby. Not quite enough DOF to resolve the feathery antennae.

Crane fly, a dead one with several legs missing. The "Hunchback of Notre Jardin." Thought I'd try an image stack portrait, but it didn't capture quite the detail I'd hoped for (fell short of expectations).

Bug (true bug = Heteroptera) nestled into a flower cluster. I was photographing the flowers so the bug was a serendipitous capture. There was a slight wind, and these flower clusters on their long spindly stalks were swaying about an inch this way and that. I was concentrating on timing when they came into focus.
