Sometimes you can only push a lens so far!

I call this one "Study in Lens Aberration", and I can see two UFOs in there, a few blobs, and some obvious astigmatism toward the lower right.

Mamiya SD, 48mm f1.7, (close to) wide open. This is otherwise regarded as a very clean, fast, and sharp lens of that vintage.

Yup, old Sol is the father of all flares. ("Sol" is thought to be male, just as Luna us thought to be female, correct?)

In English, yes. And in the gender of romance languages, yes. But (apparently) it's the other way around in Arabic and German. And there are plenty of cultures in which the sun deity is/was female and the moon deity male:
