That Pop N Glow looks a bit like a painting, Jeff.

@Photolady, that's a sweet gift.
Pr1mo, the one you see here in the picture, doesn't mind the camera a lot. As long I'm holding a ball he's willing to pose. Our other dog, Rocco, is very camera shy, but during this SIN month he wasn't bothered by the camera as he normally is. Maybe the length of the lens has something to do with it. Normally I stick my Tamron 90 mm into their faces

JeffJs, all good but pop n' glow really does "pop."

KarenH, the dog shot - looking up - is very good. I like that very much indeed.

Thanks to you and to everyone for all the encouragement. I am going to continue in some form (another Single In?). I got a lot of outtakes and they will be my first point of reference to help me previsualize... I shot literally hundreds of scouting shot ans misses that I want to redo.

Also, most of what I shot was modern. There is a lot of "Gothic" architecture at Yale... and stuff like this... this misses somehow, possibly because it could use a more expansive treatment and also WB is off. So I am considering a 21mm or even 15mm for a subsequent "Single In" to expand on the current collection. I have to say that as a result of this challenge I've come to quite like 28mm.

That could be it. I used the Sigma 70-300mm when I took photos of Sunshine. I didn't have my 18-55mm at that time. Perhaps Samson won't mind the smaller lens. Sister told me they decided to name him Samson.

LOL, for some reason I think that's a funny name for a small dog like that.
The great thing about using my Tamron 90 mm for dog shots, is that I don't have to be too close. But making a macro shot of an eye is a different story.

Thanks. One of the things I really love about this lens (FA*85) is what happens when the light is right and I open it up. Never done any but I kind of imagine it looking a bit like an acid trip. I'm kind of anxious to see what it looks like at about 24x36.
