Post your Lunar Eclipse photos!

It's been raining in Northern California for days, and I didn't have much faith in seeing the eclipse tonight. When the skies cleared up around 9:45, I set up my tripod and long lens, and waited. And then the clouds rolled in.. I missed most of it, but managed to get a few decent shots of the eclipse. I'm sure some of you had much better viewing conditions, so let's see what you got of this rare event.

Lucky dogs...

Nothing but clouds here, I couldn't even tell the moon was there, much less get pictures...

Glad someone was able to get some pictures...

Too much cloud in Arizona

Those darned Californians dumped all their excess cloud on us - the moon was almost directly overhead when it eclipsed, but was only viewable indistinctly through cloud. It did go rather dark, though!

Not all of CA was cloudless. It was clear in my neighborhood at 10:00pm but that I couldn't even see the moon or any dark sky for that matter at midnight.

This is the best I managed. I have never attempted to photograph the moon and quite frankly I didn't do any more than grab the tripod and set up just outside my back door. It was after midnight, -20C (-4F) and I was in my pajamas.

Still, at least you got to see it. We had clouds in NC so I got up for nothing. Totality for us was supposed to be 2:41 AM. I need some sleep.

Here are mine. These were all taken from my driveway. The first four were handheld, the others were on a tripod. All used my K20D and a Pentax 100-300 lens.
