I'll open a thread to see if there are people who want to do a SIF.
Consider cut'n'pasting the FAQ from the first post in this thread - that might either lure or scare away a few people *grin*

Edit: oh you already did :-)

Yep... I'm still waiting for Pentax to email me the label but I expect to be without my K5 for the entire month of February.

I've been struggling as well. I'm just catching up on this thread. The cold has been kicking my butt this year. There's a lot of beauty in winter but difficult to get motivated to get out and find it. In the first challenge in September, I had hundreds of spares. In January, I have few spares. Most days it's grab the camera and take some shots of something I haven't already done and hope I don't embarrass myself. Many of my favorite places aren't easily accessible in winter and working nights takes it's toll this time of year.

I'm ending up with all the night shots because i don't see much daylight. not a bad thing but i'll be glad to hit may and get out and shoot wherever without needing to hump the tripod and have people on the streets again will be a nice change

Yes, it does. Especially since it wasn't there to begin with. Until I saw that I thought I was one of the lucky ones. I'm taking care of it now though in case they don't have the problem solved and I can still have it done under warranty (a second time if need be). I expect to be using this camera for a few years. Resale value then, be damned. Buying a new one every year gets expensive.

That I do! And a nice looking one it is. Since I'm not familiar with that which I do not own (for the most part), Details?

Edit.. Never mind. Looked it up. I'd have to give up a couple Gretsch's to pay for it. Not the cheapo ones either......

I have not been commenting much lately due to lack of time, but I will get around to enjoying all of your contributions soon.

This month have been yet another wonderful experience where my eyes now see in 15mm. I can not thank you all enough for helping me on that journey by commenting and motivating me in this thread. Without it I think I would have sold the DA 15 by now, which would have been the very wrong thing to do.

weekdays I tend to fall behind (and get very few and mostly pretty poor shots) I have a backlog from the week right now. I'm planning on going to see a band tonight so I will likely have a live music shot for today if nothing crops up on the way home (the 28 3.5 would not be my lens of choice for a band in a dimly lit bar though, and this bar is so dim I will struggle with the 50 f1.7)
