We don't really need it Paddy, but I did it anyway. It takes two minutes. Just make sure you're on a fresh set of betteries.

I did the firmware upgrade too, Paddy. It wasn't too bad, just followed the directions at pentax imaging. Like Voytech said though you don't want the batteries dying in the middle of it, not that it takes long...not sure what got upgraded, battery level indicator I think.

1.01 fixes the battery indicator. 1.02 adds support for SDXC (32 and 64GB) cards.

Congrats to all!
If I am not mistaken, Day 16 means we are past the midway point of the SiJ challenge.
It's all downhill from here.

I missed day 16. I'll have to do a 2fer tomorrow to catch up..

To all participants and posters. I'm trying to keep up with the responses to your kind comments. If I've missed someone, it wasn't intentional. As to your photos, as much as I'd like to comment on each one, I have never been very good at critiquing photos. I just know what appeals to me and can't even explain why most of the time. Know that I've looked at All of them and am enjoying seeing your albums build, even with the 'safety' shots. Also know that some of your albums are dangerous to my wallet as I'm lusting after some new glass. I Must resist that but, it's hard to do.

Keep up the great work and thank you all for your comments in my album. It really does mean a lot to me.

Hi guys, sorry to say so but I'm out of this one. Missed day before but my other commitments + my visiting family means that I've been going out with whole bunch of lenses and have been using those I like instead of those I had to and once I put my 50/1.2 on my camera, it didn't even cross my mind to pull 77 out of the bag... The future is really unsure...

@Axl, family comes first. Best of luck.

Looks like Hambino has vanished off the face of the earth too....

Thanks all for the upgrade info on the K-x.

Don't know why, but I'm struggling to keep up with everyone's daily postings....don't fret...I still love you all...well, not in the biblical sense...still plowing through though! (that was a bloody mouthfull what!)

Axl...haven't got 'round to you much this time (like some others also), luv ya stuff, but family comes first like Jack said! Feel free to jump back in mate any time..post extras...it's maybe not fairdinkum, but if there's another book, you'ld be a sad omission.

And, well, you won at cricket anyway, ..... bugger!

Cheers Paddy

i have taken some shots over the last three days i haven't gotten to. had some things come up that have played havoc with my time, and may continue to do so. I'll continue but shots may go up in batches, and there may be boring safety shots

Would like to ask a question..

Is it against the rules if I use an extension tube together with the lens?

Not at all, hagiri. It's still the same lens, right? I almost used a shot done with the lens reversed. I still may do that in the future.

I certainly hope your new avatar does not reflect your state of mind as a result of this challenge!
