However, as I drifted off to sleep, I convinced myself I would get up way too early and drive an hour to Griffith Observatory for the first shots with my 4 new DA Limiteds.
Thank you for the tour - and the commentary - if I ever get to Los Angeles I will now have to add this to the itinerary - and there is a chance that I will get there once this covid thing abates. Thank you for your time on this project.

Thanks for your comment. If you do make it here I would recommend a 20-minute hike up the fire-road from the north side of the parking lot. At that point you will have a view of the observatory with the downtown skyscrapers behind it. A long lens is called for :-) You can continue up the fire-road which has other views and a garden area, until after about 30 minutes you get to the top of Mt. Hollywood. Mt. Lee is the next peak over and has the Hollywood sign.

Even more support, sounds like a great walk - my son is engaged to a Californian and the wedding was to be in December 2020 - postponed for now - this will be a great bonus side trip.

A great magenta sunrise this morning. First with the 85mm, and 2 minutes later (color already fading) with the 35mm
