Here's the sunrise on Mt. Fuji...I had an absolutely terrible Fuji experience: we didn't climb high enough to find an open lodge to sleep in (not one for making excuses but it wasn't my fault!! to protect the guilty i will refrain from point out who's it was but argggghhhhh lol) so we spent the night outside, sweat soaked, freezing, no food. It was honestly the worst night of my life! I was so miserable that when the sun finally came up I didn't even want to take photos (actually, i couldn't move my fingers!). Finally, the b/f took my camera and started snapping. But I wasn't about to let the only photos taken on Fuji be by him b/c he has no clue how to use my camera and takes horrible photos even with a P&S lol so here is one of the 5 that I took: I couldn't wait to get back down that mountain! (I know there's dust on the sensor and what not but I was in no mood to care at the time!)

Exif:
Camera - *ist DS
Lens - Kit
Exposure - 1/640
f/10

Here is a sunrise shot that I remember. Nothing really special:

Just happened to stop by the road and saw the sun-rise. It was part of the Single in September challenge where I had to take a shot-a-day. I knew I would not have time that day, so I stopped on the way to work and took this quick shot

Favorite sunrise...no. But earlier in the week I saw a great, lone contrail just being lit up. Unfortunately, it was pretty tough to capture it just the way I wanted, and as more light appeared, I also noticed another con making an "X". So, here it is:

I don't really do sunrises because they are so early in the day. But here are 2 of the same one.

Looking other way.

Figured it out, and I'm going to have lots of fun posting images.

Thanks to Irfanview, I have finally figured out how to resize images properly.
So I can finally participate in a thread that I started!!

This set is all from the first days I had my K20D, all from the same position and all with the same operation. Wake up early, leave note on bed, bushwalk through terrain to cliff with best vantage point available without driving (which I can't, because I'm 15. I think of driving as a freedom of photography rather than anything else), set up tripod and enjoy.

I've edited my post to show the exposure info. Note that I was also using a 4 stop ND filter + 3 stop hard GND filter in front of the lens.

Also, if you go to the photo's flickr page, you can click on Actions -> View Exif info to check out the exif info.

Hope that helps.

I love the green, esp. in the first one. Don't usually see much of this green in sunrise shots. (I'm not even near a beach enough to know).

Apparently it's some sort of seasonal moss; first time I've seen so much either
