Mmmmmm.... beer

Excellent thread... I'm getting very thirsty....

My son, Chris, and I went on a "beerquest" adventure this fall to the Dogfish Head Brewery and Brewpub in Delaware...

The beer was excellent... even more so was the quality time with my traveling companion...

120 minute IPA served with a fresh hops infusion...ridiculously tasty... and 18%ABV

Mmmmm.... beer

Perhaps not the best, but you can't go wrong with beer AND coffee.

This is my latest favorite. It's very good, if you're a hop-head!

We just opened the first bottles of our 1st homebrew. The Belgian Tripel that we started about a month ago. We needed something to drink while working on our 2nd batch which is a nice Pale Ale, not IPA but hoppier than Sierra etc according to the guy who gave us the recipe.

So we pop the top and hear a satisfying PSSST, we pour and see a nice golden head. We'd heard that your first homebrew will be the best beer you've ever tasted. I was surprised to find out it's true. We love Delirium Tremens and this is at least as good. It is honestly one of the top 5 beers I've ever tasted. It's the recipe that won a couple of awards for our local brewer. And at 8% alcohol and a light breakfast we're feeling it.
OMG!!

The first pour from the first bottle.

All this homebrew talk...looks like it's time to come out of my hiatus, resurrect the White Labs European Ale yeast in the fridge, get the mill dusted off and get brewing again.

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing! It's been years since I brewed.
I just found a clone kit for Furious...

Never was much into kits, usually made up my own recipes following style guidlines, etc. To each his own if the results are good though!

So, the conclusion of my home brew thread here is this shot. Last Friday we cracked the keg on the Irish Red. It was a bit to bitter for my tastes (although within the flavor profile), but that's me. All loved it and there is plenty left for me...yummm.
