Very nice set. I particularly like the two towers with the cut off three - the silver tones are cool and the juxtaposition of the objects make that shot. The spiraling shot is another brilliant capture, very cool. I think the 3x light shot is awesome too. Nice work.

What a fun thread - I love looking at everyone's favorite work Here's my go:

A Washington State Ferry crossing from Bainbridge to Seattle, Olympic Mountains in the background. Tamron 500mm mirror lens.


Lake Washington sunset, Olympic Mountains in the background, heron spooked by my bike. This is one of those shots I look at to remind myself that good glass isn't the end-all, cause the lens for this photo was a nothing zoom, soft, low contrast, and all scratched up to boot


A fountain on the waterfront in Seattle, sunset. DA35mm Ltd.


Thanksgiving snow storm buried the school garden, except for this sunflower DA15 Ltd.


A butterfly got swamped in a puddle, so it held still while I snapped from a couple of inches away - 28mm f/2.8 Tokina.


Boring tulips that got interesting in post processing - definitely my favorite flower photo of the year. Sigma 105 2.8 macro.


Carkeek Park, Burlington Northern southbound along Puget Sound. My fave landscape shot of the year DA15

Thanks, I'm sure with that array of lenses you'll do great. I was there in mid June, the week after the ice broke up on Yellowstone Lake. Around every corner is like a different world. Get out early and stay out til dark every day, there's just not enough time to see everything.

Most all of my good shot were with the 55-300. But I couldn't get close enough to get wolves with that, and the only grizzlies we seen were pretty far up a mountain, so take one of those long lenses. Some of the geothermal features require a pretty wide angle to fit it all in.

We left on a Monday and the traffic was double what it had been the week before, so be prepared for a lot of slow traffic, but getting out a daybreak will allow you to beat a lot of it. Go to the U. S. Naval Observatory website and get charts of sunrise and sundown for Yellowstone and plan your days. There was construction on one road last summer which caused delays and they also closed this at night. One night they closed it earlier than the posted time which caused me to drive an extra hour through the park at night, and you really don't want to do that. I can still see the elk that I almost hit.

Have fun and come home with some great shot!
