Very nice set. I particularly like the two towers with the cut off three - the silver tones are cool and the juxtaposition of the objects make that shot. The spiraling shot is another brilliant capture, very cool. I think the 3x light shot is awesome too. Nice work.

Good idea Goddo and I envy your #2 bird and really like your #3 sunrise over the sea.

A shoutout to Mrs. Nelson cause I do like most of your stuff most of the time.

Here's my 20 pics from 2010 (just kidding :-)

#1: Getting personal: She told a sad story of a disilliusioned old man

#2: Again: The obnoxious punk clown. Audience is always split in disbelief and laughter

#3: Cool Jazz band being trumped by the caged people (from the endless boat tour)

#4: All the girls come watching the young acrobats

#5: Another sunny sunday in the park

#6: Straighten up and expose to the right :-)

#7: Cutting the corner and the perfect exposure

#8: While we're at it: Reflection obsession in autumn

#9: Yours truly from the endless exhibition trip (the beer was bad but for free and I managed one down)

#10: Discovery: Tiny little fish-shop we are going to after b-ball practice: Fresh+cheap=excellent :-)

What a fun thread - I love looking at everyone's favorite work Here's my go:

A Washington State Ferry crossing from Bainbridge to Seattle, Olympic Mountains in the background. Tamron 500mm mirror lens.

Lake Washington sunset, Olympic Mountains in the background, heron spooked by my bike. This is one of those shots I look at to remind myself that good glass isn't the end-all, cause the lens for this photo was a nothing zoom, soft, low contrast, and all scratched up to boot

A fountain on the waterfront in Seattle, sunset. DA35mm Ltd.

Thanksgiving snow storm buried the school garden, except for this sunflower DA15 Ltd.

A butterfly got swamped in a puddle, so it held still while I snapped from a couple of inches away - 28mm f/2.8 Tokina.

Boring tulips that got interesting in post processing - definitely my favorite flower photo of the year. Sigma 105 2.8 macro.

Carkeek Park, Burlington Northern southbound along Puget Sound. My fave landscape shot of the year DA15

Lake Washington, my youngest son playing with rocks. Damn I love the DA15mm Ltd.

Hummingbird at our feeder - Tamron 70-200 2.8

I'm still wowed when I look at this photo - I want my DA70 Ltd. back!

My favorite child portait of the year. What an captivating expression. Tamron 70-200

My own favourite top 10 are:

#1 Taken in early November whilst on a camping trip on the Gippsland lakes in Victoria, one of the first photos taken with my new DA15

#2 Looking up at the Petronas Towers, taken with a table top tripod & DA21

#3 My younger son in the swimming pool at dusk at a resort in Borneo, Malaysia. Taken with a DA70.

#4 A model on the catwalk during Melbourne Spring fashion week. Taken with a DA70

#5 Kids backlit in my backyard. Taken with a DA70.

#6 Looking up at Seafarers bridge. Taken with a DA21.

#7 Young Orang-Utan at a rehabilitation area in Borneo jungle. Taken with a DA*50-135.

#8 Panorama of Webb Bridge. Taken with DA15 and stiched in Autopano Pro. My other Webb bridge photos ranked higher in flickr, but I like this the best.

#9 Interior of St Pauls Cathedral. Taken with a DA15 and a table top tripod.

#10 On holiday at Byron Bay beach in NSW. TAken with a DA70

I have selected 10, I definitely have a "nature" lean. If I did this on another day half may be different.

We were at the Circleville (Ohio)Pumpkin Show and this sky happened. Great time of day to have the Super Tak 50/1.4 attached, (1/80, ISO 100, hand held):

Not too far from home, I have to stop and shoot this barn every time I go by it, it's best in the background:

Yellow Bellied Marmot at Yellowstone National Park:

Easton, Columbus, Ohio, shot handheld with the Super Tak 50/1.4 (ISO 320):

Bighorn sheep at the Badland National Park in South Dakota:

Buffalo at Yellowstone, I like the contrasting winter fur and the foliage:

Lightly Clouded Sulphur:

Recent Snowstorm:

Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains, my daughter and her boyfriend:

My Favorite from Yellowstone:

Thanks, I'm sure with that array of lenses you'll do great. I was there in mid June, the week after the ice broke up on Yellowstone Lake. Around every corner is like a different world. Get out early and stay out til dark every day, there's just not enough time to see everything.

Most all of my good shot were with the 55-300. But I couldn't get close enough to get wolves with that, and the only grizzlies we seen were pretty far up a mountain, so take one of those long lenses. Some of the geothermal features require a pretty wide angle to fit it all in.

We left on a Monday and the traffic was double what it had been the week before, so be prepared for a lot of slow traffic, but getting out a daybreak will allow you to beat a lot of it. Go to the U. S. Naval Observatory website and get charts of sunrise and sundown for Yellowstone and plan your days. There was construction on one road last summer which caused delays and they also closed this at night. One night they closed it earlier than the posted time which caused me to drive an extra hour through the park at night, and you really don't want to do that. I can still see the elk that I almost hit.

Have fun and come home with some great shot!
