thank you cliff! There is something special about winter photos before the lakes ice up and I got this one just days before the big freeze. It was cold too... to the left and the right of the frame ice had already formed on the lake to about 8 feet out. This section is open as the sun and wind hits the beach area most of the day. I should go take the same photo now. A very different image.

Cheers!

My Single in January shot from today, it doesn't look or feel much like January at all!

Tess, I believe that bench is missing the sign "TEMPORARILY OUT OF SERVICE", Tripper does not seem to mind much," Iv'e Got my ball and everything is right with the world" Nice capture. Oh by the way, it was 70F here today. Thanks for posting.........Cliff

Paulh-they are also designed that when you sit on them, you look over Algoa Bay, in which the city of Port Elizabeth is found. with a bit of shade too.

Love the "funky benches," noelcmn. I must say, Tess, that I hadn't considered shooting pix of them till you posted this thread. Now I look for shots around benches and picnic tables. These shots are of the same public park picnic table in two different seasons.

Peak Season Yes, there is a bench in there!

Nice comparison photos Tamia. They are even nicer when viewed from Southern Calif in the comfort of a mild winter. The orientation is a little different, no house in the summer shot. Thanks for sharing........Cliff
