Real interesting series of photos. The sense of place and of time is quite strong. Also, a kind of loneliness to these. I really enjoy your creative ideas ... the results are amazing.

Hey, thanks. Actually, this is at the Long Beach marina, which has a famous aquarium, a touristy shopping area, and the Queen Mary across the channel - so it's really a happy place :-)

Very cool pics! We could make calendars from these!

Well, here is one from yesterday. These are seats built into the bridge for fishers to perch on... the bridge goes over a narrow section of Galeairy Lake and this path leads into Algonquin Park.

Not from yesterday but a couple of years ago on a road trip to the East Coast. This was in Lake George Regional Park in Maine :

My favorite place in our campground, I just sit and reflect and fall asleep sometimes.
Life is good.

Bond Park

Bond Park, Cary, NC. A rare December snowfall and DA12-24 weather test. Stayed out all afternoon, lens and camera are fine. Same with DA*50-135 on other shoulder. Had fun watching people watch me with snow covered lens hoods while they tucked other brands of DSLRs into their coats. Hard to take pictures inside your coat.

I just keep coming across these. This is a remote campsite on the Slate Islands, a provincial park at the site of a monster meteor impact, 450-740 million years ago. It's 11 km off shore from Marathon Ontario in Lake Superior. The shoreline of the lake there is actually the crater rim.
