I like them. Are they both fish-eye shots? The curvature and B/W are really effective on #1.

Yes, both were taken with the DA10-17. It is a brilliantly versatile lens, depending on subject and composition it can be very fishy or barely fishy. I have been using it daily this month for the Single in April challenge here on the forum and it has been so much fun to work with!

Nice photo! Is she wearing one of those head-mounted flashlights?

This one's not that good, but there *is* a picnic table

Thank you, and that's correct Paul, she was wearing a "head light".
I was trying in vein to get a good "moonrise over the pond" shot when glanced to my right and saw her reading in the dark, with her dog, about 50yds away. I rotated the camera on the tripod, zoomed in, set it to 30sec on F/8 and hoped for the best.

Great story and image. I don't know what the art scene is like in Tulsa, but i think it could be a lot of fun for you to frame it and enter that one into a "juried art show" or a photoclub contest, I'd vote for it.

I'd be tempted to play with the toning a bit, but i'd keep the original someplace safe - it has a lot of charm just the way it is.

Best wishes, with it.

ohce,
Liked the first image - kudos, second image is more contrasty but doesn;t excite me. If you look at my image a few posts up, you'll see i spent more of the image on the bench seat as well - we had the same idea.

Agree, phil.
I think the first one is still missing something. Maybe I should put a flower on the bench. The second one doesn't excite me neither.
Thanks
