I know that technically the name of the thread is "park bench", but when I pulled up to our cabin last weekend I immediately thought of this thread when I saw the porch. While not located in a park, I figured some folks might get a kick out of our "industrial strength" bench that I made from "recycled" material that washed up on the shore. Makes me think of the long summer days when this bench is filled with things like the kids' swimsuits & towels.....

This weekend and for the next several days (according to the forecasters) it's supposed to go into the 40s (F). Most of this except the piles will be gone in a fast melt.

I seriously doubt most of this gets used. That is, for anything other than graffiti magnets. I still have to pay, in the form of taxes, for the city to maintain it however.

OpNorth, now that is my kind of bench!! great job and what a nice touch to your porch!

LoOpE ... terrific photo... very much enjoyed the smile!

Jeff, we are warming up as well, but not enough to melt the snow. Maybe around the middle end of March the run-off will begin. Ya, city parks are not always nice things, are they?

I thought I'd share this one from Bandelier National Park, New Mexico. One of the random tree benches placed throughout the park.

I like 1, 3 and 4, especially 4. Looks like a museum or historical park.
