I will add to Norm's answer for you. Lightroom 3 has a 30 day trial, and is a wonderful bit of software. worth every penny (and I hate paying for software ) there are lots of threads on various software though. Most good ones also offer 30 day trials so you can get a feel and decide if it's worth the dosh

Thanks, Richard. I having been taking pictures since I took a High School Photography class, and it was with a 35mm Pentax. Saved all my money for it, Last year I finally saved up again for my k-x DSLR, then K20D, and bought a istD for my daughter, enjoy them so much.
Any time, Eda. I used to think I was a reasonably good amateur photographer until I started to hang around here. I think I've learned a lot, but I have a long way to go. Which is a good thing. How boring it would be to have nothing to learn. By the way, if you really want to get some inspiration, check out Benjikan's fashion shots, Marc Langille's humming birds or, well, a whole heap of others.

Richard.

If you folks want an intimidating group of folks, check out the film thread...As for software, I have the entire CS5 collection as well as Lightroom 3.3 and these day I only use lightroom. For my needs, that is all I need.

I'm sure the one on the right would be even less amused if he Saw the picture. It couldn't be framed any better.
