Those are great. Can you detail a little bit about the technique used? especially interested in the metering mode (matrix, center weighted or spot).

These were all taken on manual, most had a slight bit of negative exposure comp, matrix metering, used the cameras suggestion as a starting point. Monopod only to give myself the ability to move around a bit more. At least on of the other photographers got their tripod caught and fell into an inspection pit!

I have a pair of contrasting silhouettes...in both pictures the train is in about the same location, having just run over a bridge above a "BOAT" (Byway Open to All Traffic) called Rookwood Lane. The first is a moonlight silhouette, the second a sunset one, and also the two pictures are taken from opposite sides of the ine, and the sunset one from a good deal further away than the first one!
