Best of luck with that. I'm limited in processing power at the moment but I will be out this weekend on the hunt for more IR shots.

not sure which is a bigger challenge the flare prone 12-24 on ir for you or trying to make the 18-55wr look good (it is better from what i've seen so far compared to my original 18-55 kit from the ds)

well it is a challenge. I've had good results with the 18-55wr lens. It's not a DA*16-50 but it's really quite good. Best of luck with that. I'll be watching.

You've got to have faith (in your lens mainly, and body to a lesser extent).

I made up my mind to shoot wide-open today, and took only 3 photos, I've posted them all (2 in the spares area).

Boring (safety)shots again, but I'm getting to know and love this lens.

Jack.

soaked the lens and camera down with snow last night for yesterday's picture. SO Wr does indeed work a treat
I'm finding things to like about this lens, no 16-50 is true but for what essentially is a freebie lens for me not bad at all.

So contrary to my plans (as always), I had no time to shoot last few days. Still here though! Last three days are up!

It's been tough for me to get things processed but I'm on track. I did decide to go with my Lens Baby for the SIM challenge. That will make me really learn to use it or else bore the heck out of everyone else.

i'm finding Feb much tougher than jan, it's going to be a long year i think since i decided to make this a 365 as well
nothing for today yet, have to see (the kit lens doesn't lend itself to last minute macros)

February is proving more difficult than I thought it would. My holidays finished on February 1, and my work workload is enormous. A little less busy today, so I'm finishing at about 4pm (instead of 6:30). Our quirky Fringe festival starts on February 18, so I'm sticking at it, with the promise of (hopefully) better photos to come.

Stay positive everyone, you're all doing great!

Jack

Well, I haven't committed to a 365 exercise yet but if I get through SIM, who knows. I will say that this concept of spending an entire month with one lens on my camera has really helped me get to know that particular lens. I can really see the value in this.

So...onwards!

Everyone seems in higher spitrits now, we just need more encouragement from Karen, Torben, Paddy, Julio, Lauren, etc, etc.

I had a good day, I snagged a Tamron 28-200 Super zoom in mint condition from a local cash converters (like a pawn shop) for $20. It's not rated well in the lens section, but IMO its a solid 8/10. It will be going to Europe with my son, in a few weeks, mounted on my old K-x. He should have a ball with it.

Keep on clicking....
