Sneering at humans is beneath our dignity.

Sometimes they are just plain indifferent.

Otter. I've seen several on the lake, first time I've gotten a decent up close shot. Every shot of this one it seems it has a milky right eye, I think that eye is probably blind.

Got a couple more today of a different one but in the exact same spot, both came within 20 feet of me, the first one was about 10-12 feet away...

Oops, don't have the new shots uploaded yet...

Nice Paleo Pete. Looking forward to seeing the next batch!
It is said that no animal enjoys water as much as an elephant.

Another animal that likes water, this one though, on the tar road.

Otter showed up again this morning, that's 3 days in a row, same spot and around the same time. Today one showed up about 20 feet from where I got the pictures in this post, which is the same spot as the pictures in the last post. Guess I need to start naming these guys...but now I know where to sit to get some good shots, now if the sun will just come out now and then...overcast at ISO800 is not my favorite pastime, especially at 28° with a 20MPH wind going...

These are from yesterday ISO400 The spot is about 4 feet from where the previous post was shot but I was in a different location.

But a handsome antelope. Here's another of the wet, plump crew.
