First day with my new-to-me M*300/4.

This was severely underexposed, and ever so slightly out of focus. However, pretty pleased with my first 'long' prime.

ISO 200 (but pushed almost 2 stops, from JPEG in LR)

American cousin of the bird posted by noelcmn, but there's another that even more similar (with yellow eye)

Here's a GBH, remarkably similar to the bird posted by noelcmn. Took a while to locate an image of one that had not been posted.

Here it is again-it probably is the same bird, though my bird book says it occurs in Eurasia including Japan and Taiwan. So a fairly wide distribution. Why not the USA
