Wish that would happen here, would love to get that close-our cormorants make a getaway as soon as they see you.
Saw this wildlife action yesterday

A zoo animal, obviously. Captive herbivores, particularly, never look as sleek, clean and fit as their wild kin.

Granted. The pigmy hippo looked, to say it politely, healthy and well-fed. Not sure why the antlers of this deer were cut off: to prevent injury to others in the pen or to frustrate night time souvenir collectors.

Saw this Yellow Mongoose at Rietvlei Nature Reserve yesterday-not the best IQ, but it was skittish, and I dd not want to get too close as it would have disappeared in a flash. So taken with x2 converter. One of the reasons I like going there (on most public holidays) is that everytime I see something new-Meerkat, mongoose, Coucal and other birds.

Bird was very far out, 50-500 @ 500, then cropped = marginal IQ

A different kind of wildlife, attracted of course by kids feeding them bread.

A smaller, more colorful fish.
