Variety of shorebirds. Black necked stilts are most readily identified. Cropped out of an image taken with the 300 + 1.4X, so the birds were far out with no way to get closer.

Looks as if that heron is practicing carrying the donation plate.

A bird that I waited a long time to see in the Kruger- Broad Billed Roller. Not a sharp as I would have liked, but a heavy crop-it was far away. But I was not going to let the opportunity pass me by.

Here's another shot of that Juvenile Bateleur Eagle, except here he had managed to get a morsel from the Kudu carcass-a bold move with all those vultures around.

Robin, which together mallard ducks are one of the most easily recognized of NA birds.

Squirrel I may have posted already, not sure...



Close in crop of an Alligator Snapping Turtle. Shell about a foot long, I found it wandering across our front yard, probably looking for a place to lay eggs. Not a critter to fool with, that mouth is very quick and can take off a finger...
