Crows love to play, and lucky for him the Osprey's talons are occupied.

Nice shot Dave.
I hear you. Sometimes when doing birds you just have to take what nature allows.
Keep on trucking.

If that is at ISO 4000 your K5 is well worth the money.

Ain't that the truth? I'd have said "No way!" a year ago.

Andras, top shot in #3.
Dangerous snake there Bruce. You must be pretty confident around them to be that close.

Something a little more benign (but still frightening to approach), the macaque monkey of SE Asia:

I have a couple I got yesterday I'd like to post. The first is quite small because even 300mm has it's limit in reach, but I've got a Sigma 100-500mm in the mail, be here Monday.

Mother Pelican and babies plus nest:

Great Egret posing:

Oh and one more.

American Coot: First one I've been able to get close enough to shoot.

Not exactly "wild" but not a pet rabbit in the pasture behind my mother's home in Texas.

Cute bunny - yeah, there's a million of those in the woods around here, too. Here's one that's just barely "wild" - in fact I probably could have hand-fed him if I wanted:

Remember the baby pelicans I posted earlier? Here's another shot of them. They've grown some. These were shot the Samyang 100-500mm @500mm:
