Bush pig, a captive and another less-than-beautiful animal, at least in human eyes. Good midday to you noelcmn. Early here, about 5:45. Just finish b'fast and because it's a little cool, Annabelle just decided to settle on my lap.

I'd rather go smaller- as in mouse-Mouse bird, an elusive never-sit-still kinda bird.

Blue duiker (a captive) with an itch. These little guys have a really big scent gland in front of the eye.
I found the mouse bird challenging to photograph. Aside from being busy, they always seemed to be half or more hidden in foliage so it was near impossible to image that long tail.

Yeah, I was fortunate that I found a tree that many of them were frequenting, and it was close to the restaurant in Addo Elephant National Park., so I was on foot, and just had to wait it out. If I remember correctly, it took about 45 minute to get that image, and even then a bit of the tail chopped off.
The swallows are back

A mature lioness. Don't know how they tolerate such masses of flies.

Male baboon, although not a carnivore, can still look intimidating.
