The thing is- it is a carnivore, and there are plenty of documentaries showing it killing and eating impala in particular, especially the very young impala. I am still hoping to get a sighting of that on one of my visits to the Kruger Park.
An animal hat sometimes takes baboons.

Baboons are carnivorous? I'm out of here! I knew that chimps hunt, kill, and eat small prey, it would be a logical deduction that baboons would do the same.

It has been known to scavenge as well.
Maribou Stork- the white on the legs from its own faeces, apparently to keep it free from parasites and bacteria from its scavenging habits

Superb starling. Saw a lot of these, but never grew tired of them.

Chances are that I won't see this one again- as poaching takes its toll.

A gathering of Red Footed Falcons posted earlier- there were several in the tree as well as in the air.

Hyena- this one on the lookout for a more dominant female, that was chasing it away from what was probably a den.

Very nice. It really draws attention to the animal's behaviour. It's a welcome change from the many front-lit African savannah mammal photos.
