When we first moved to this house we had upwards for forty evening grosbeaks around the bird feeder during the winter. Have not seen even one for the past fifteen years.

The ubiquitous Impala, outnumbering any other animal in the Kruger Park- estimates between 120-130000. The next highest number is buffalo at around 27000.

This guy wouldn't come out into the open for me. I was shooting through a small opening in some fairly dense vegetation. I am happy that the AF locked on to the elk at all.
