Weaver, which I watched with a mixture of dread and anxiety, as he did the finishing touches to this nest, and got a female to come and inspect it-she was not happy, and he promptly set about doing some repairs. I think he eventually won her over. Here he is at the entrance, while she is on the inside- he's all excited, hence the flapping wings.

Eider checking out something, probably tourists atop the small cliff that surrounds this little cove-beach.

An unconcerned Black winged Stilt, miles away from tourists anyway.

Tufted ducks. Heavy overcast with some drizzle at this lake.

A quintessential Kruger Park scene-Sunset Dam, near Lower Sabie, and a favorite spot to sit at the end of a day, with a sundowner and hope the baboons,or an elephant does not come and disturb your peace.

Just for a change, here are some African red ants, a little difficult to see against the background of litter.

Two macaws at a local wildlife park. These two were quite talkative, they took turns preening each other.
