Years ago I worked in Malawi, where in the Chewa language "l"s and "r"s seem to be pretty much interchangeable. Piri-piri was usually pronounced with an "r" sound though. Fond memories of piri-piri potato chips, and piri-piri shrimp at places along the Mozambique border.

Another image of the pretty bar-headed goose.

That would be pronouncement deformity- the Portuguese word is Peri Peri. Here Piri Piri is more akin to slang.

I'm having trouble keeping up with you two. How do you keep track of which photos you've posted, and which ones you haven't? I'm afraid that I am going to start posting the same pic more than once.

Heron.
About avoiding re-posting the same image. I use the "Manage Attachments" button and select from a ready-to-file folder on my desktop. If I select something already posted, this site rejects it with "You have already posted this on the ........ thread" and will not allow me to post it again. It keeps track a long way back, at least a year, maybe more. I delete image files from the desktop folder regularly. The only way I can get around the PF-post-police is if I modify the image somehow in LR, then put it back in the folder and repost. The PF-post-police apparently do not recognize an image file if it's had even a tiny bit of new modification, even shifting the exposure slightly, then putting back where it was. I suspect it tracks by my name and the exact date & time of the last modification (="created on").

Thanks. I use Flickr and pull everything from there. You have a good plan.

So do I, and I have the same problem as you do. Using the "find my posts" search can be a help, but I'm not sure how far back it looks. And at times I post a bit too many images to look through them all... Well, not many at all compared to certain people here on this thread, but still

With all of the threads cross-posted in, it's too much trouble to look through them all. And... Yeah, WPRESTO wins the award for most images posted.

Manatee.
I only recently realized I'd crossed 15,000 posts, but not all of them are images.

Great blue heron. Which USA Pentaxians who photograph wildlife do not have a significant stash of images of this bird?
