Really striking pattern on that snake. Do you know the name/species?

European Viper I think? Just about the only venomous snake on the continent.

The only African Rock Python I have seen in the Kruger Park. A youngish specimen

The zig-zag pattern on that adder/viper is really striking, even though that individual seems to have clouded eyes suggesting it is close to shedding and the skin color probably a bit duller than average.

That is a scary face. Here's an ungulate that cannot look scary to anything but the foliage.

What do you think, girls? Should we run from that one? You can tell from the black on the backs of their ankles that they've been setting down in the mud.

A creature known in Germany as elch (known in North America by a word derived from an Algonkian language: moose, Alces alces) in the predawn gloom. He seems to be trying to remember when hunting season begins. Jpeg straight out of the camera. FA*400mm f/5.6 on a K-3, hand-held.
