The pretty little Bee Eater

Chameleon (AKA anole), male in display. The color of the gular flap is different island-to-island in the Caribbean, called evolutionary drift, but really it's a matter of what the ladies decide they like the best. Scan from an old chrome (1993).

Crested Barbet, though a common suburban garden bird, its still nice to see one in Kruger where this was taken

A chameleon from a different, but nearby Caribbean island than the one posted just above, this one having a different gular flap coloration. This is also paler and one also does not have the ridge along it's back or the spectacular flattened tail of the one above. Scan.
