Nothing exotic here just your everyday Mallard. Luckily these guys are always around. If was not for them I would not have much to photograph.

If I remember correctly a female mallard is a called a hen. But then I am just lazy and group them all together. I am just glad there is a park so close by were they are always at. I was not sure about this one.

I was, poking a little fun. I use "guys" as a neutral collective, just as "mankind" (no need for "womankind") was always supposed to include both genders of humans (huwomens? wait, that still has "men" in it, how about "hufemales?" Nuts, that still has a "male" in it. ).
BTW, does "mailman" become "mailwoman" or "mailfemale" or "femailman" or "mail person" or "mail perdaughter" I want to be PC, but I get confused.

From Merriam-Webster:

guy
a : man, fellow
b : person —used in plural to refer to the members of a group regardless of sex <saw her and the rest of the guys>

PC is being inclusive not exclusive. Just my $0.02.

Look at those guys - I mean birds - up there. Hope they don't see what I'm eating down here.

Not to worry about them, plenty enough around here to interest us, including confrontations with your neighbor
