Here is one of a young Heron in the early winter light. What little light there is can be nice and moody.

I don't know how I missed this thread but I did.

Lot's of great images. Posted this one elsewhere but think it probably my best of the last year or so.

Just a common Robin but he posed in an uncommonly nice setting.

Gulls, we have plenty of them here too. But I prefer them doing something besides posing on the dock post. Here is one I took yesterday:



And a Sandhill Crane I found near where I shot the gulls.


Borno, love the heron shot. Is that a juvenile Night heron?

And Tom, let's not forget you, great Robin shot. They'll be down here in February, and I'm hoping to a profile shot of one. Most of the ones I have they are facing me.

ooo i like those gulls photolady! yes, i know some of those gull shots I posted were taken pretty straight. still, i personally had never taken such a cliched shot before and was very excited to be able to recreate it by myself!!
